Our events are open to all who identify as part of the LGBT community, including our friends and allies. Our goals for these events are to increase LGBT awareness, visibility, support and acceptance in Lake Tahoe on both sides of the state line. We accomplish this by holding our events at public venues where we are sure to be noticed. Below you will find brief descriptions of most of the events we offer. For a complete list of upcoming events with locations, dates and times, please visit our calendar.
Future Focus Meetings: This is a meeting open to all where we get together and discuss how Tahoe Pride can contribute and get involved with our community. Dates and times to be announced.
Mixers: A Mixer is the original, official monthly LGBT & Friends-Allies get-together. The Mixer is held at a public pub &/or eatery where alcohol & food is served. Mixers are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month at various locations in the South Lake Tahoe area. They are a great opportunity to visit with friends, meet new people, and network.
Meet-ups: A meet-up is an informal gathering at a public venue. Examples include Music on the Beach, Shakespeare Festival, PRIDE events, Gay & Lesbian Ski Weeks, Reno-Sacramento field trips, and more. We also hold meet-ups for community sensitive and relevant events.
Beach Days: Beach Days are a great way to enjoy some summer sun and socialize with friends. This is an all-ages event. Bring your beach towel, bathing suit and sunscreen. Beach Days are held at a public beach which offers food and beverage services, motorized and non-motorized water crafts, volleyball courts, and public restrooms.
Tahoe Pride Month: The official Tahoe Pride Month (established in 2011) will be held in the month of June, and in the spirit of Tahoe offers a variety of outdoor events to celebrate the Tahoe active lifestyle. Highlights include hikes, Beach Days, all-ages events, and More!
Snow-Days: The Snow-Days include snowshoeing at a variety of locations in and beyond the Tahoe basin, and skiing/snowboarding meet-ups at local ski resorts. We encourage all fitness levels to participate, but bear in mind your own abilities and limitations. Please bring the appropriate gear and dress in layers. We like to depart promptly, so please be on time.
Safety first! If you drink, please do so responsibly and have a designated driver. Disclaimer: We do not accept responsibility for anyone's safety or property.
